Owner came over to ask how everything was just like in a big-city restaurant. But this is a small-town eatery with great food, service and very personable owner, not to mention extraordinary atmosphere. The owner gave us an unbelievable coupon to before we left.
The pizzas were delicious and they even gave the kids a little free desert. We'll definitely go back.
Service was good, I had a cheese calzone with added pepperoni, mushrooms, and onion. The cheese mix was good. There was just a touch of spice, it was good.
I used to love this mellow mushroom location: Food proportion sizes, their allergen menu, everything about it. Until recently, however, after they changed their recipes my opinion changed. It makes me sad, but I no longer eat there for the reason that their proportion size for the calzones have drastically decreased, while their prices have not. And sometimes they change the original ingredients, making their allergen menu useless. This is not a rating judging all mellow mushrooms, just this one. The one in mobile, Alabama down by promenade parkway is still pretty great!
Gluten free crust is best crust I’ve ever had on a pizza. First time I’ve tried it (or anything gluten free). This place is great!
