Nothing ever bad about a HI Express. Great prices considering all of the hurricane Irma evacuees. Got a good night's sleep for my family on our way back into FL.
This was a disappointing stay at a Holiday Inn Express. My primary complaint is the intense odor of my room. Things seem clean, but my nose burns from the mildew/musty smell. I suspect that the carpets need to be replaced. Being in a humid, coastal town, the dehumidification system needs to be priority for management. My parents' room next door also smells, but less so than mine.
It was a standard stay. Polite staff, clean and comfy room. Slow elevator, though.
I always try to stay at Holiday Inn Express. there was only a small problem with this one there was a funny smell in the room 312. But it was clean the bed was comfortable we slept well what more can you ask for.
Nice and helpful check in clerk, clean room, good breakfast with veggie omelets and the famous H. I. Express cinnamon rolls. Some of the other guests (young men's basketball team) were a little too noisy last night so clerk gave us an hr late check out which we appreciated at the Ocean Springs location and at other locations of H.I. Express that we have stayed at all over the U.S. It's a beautiful day to spend time at the beach nearby...God is good!! :)
